Alvin Ayman completes transfer from Wolves to Liverpool

Highly-rated defender Alvin Ayman has officially completed his transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Liverpool.
The 16-year-old prospect has joined Liverpool’s youth ranks after making a notable impact with Wolves’ Under-18s last season.
It was reported in June that Liverpool were close to finalizing the deal for Ayman, who had also made two appearances for Wolves’ Under-21s in Premier League 2.
He was also included in the first team squad for an away match against Manchester City last season.
However, as with the signing of Rio Ngumoha, academy transfers must go through the Premier League’s rigorous five-step investigation process, introduced in 2016, before a player can be officially registered.
Ayman confirmed the completion of his move to Anfield via Instagram, where he expressed his gratitude to Wolves.
Posting a picture of the defender signing his contract, the 16-year-old wrote: “New beginnings Liverpool FC.
“Would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Wolves for helping me develop over the past 2 years.
“God is good.”
He was previously signed by the Molineux outfit from Bradford City last summer, where he had been a part of the academy since U9 level.
At Bradford, Ayman played as a left-sided central defender and also featured in midfield.
The Reds are said to have paid a £2 million compensation fee, and the defender has signed a five-year contract with the club.
