Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich for the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt, according to The Athletic.
The deal is valued at €45 million, with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons.
Pending a medical examination, Matthijs de Ligt is set to join Manchester United on a five-year contract, with an option for an extra 12 months.
The 24-year-old, previously with Juventus and Ajax, will bring youthful experience and high-level defensive prowess to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
In a separate transaction, Bayern Munich have agreed to a €15 million deal plus €5 million in bonuses with Manchester United for full-back Noussair Mazraoui.
This transfer is contingent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 26, leaving Manchester United.
West Ham United have agreed on a £15 million fee with Manchester United for Wan-Bissaka, though discussions are ongoing regarding the contract length.
The transfer is also dependent on Wan-Bissaka finalising his departure from Manchester United.
A medical at West Ham is scheduled for Sunday or Monday.
Wan-Bissaka has made 190 first-team appearances for Manchester United since his initial £45 million move from Crystal Palace in 2019.
