Real Madrid star ‘already knows’ he’s won 2024 Ballon d’Or

Vinicius Junior is said to be aware that he will win the 2024 Ballon d’Or, with Nike preparing a special tribute for the Real Madrid star.

According to Marca, Vinicius has been informed that he will receive his first Golden Ball at the awards ceremony in Paris on October 28.

The Brazil winger is set to surpass his Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham and Manchester City’s star player in securing this prestigious individual accolade, which Lionel Messi won for a record-breaking eighth time in 2023.

Marca further reports that Vinicius’s boot sponsor, Nike, is planning a special tribute in honour of the Real Madrid winger as they prepare to reopen their Gran Via superstore in Madrid just two days after the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Vinicius will feature in a special golden display alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, who won four of his five Golden Balls while playing for Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior is a deserving candidate for the 2024 Ballon d’Or after his remarkable contributions to Real Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League double last season.

He scored 24 goals, including a pivotal one in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, and provided 11 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos.

Currently, Vinicius is focused on Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Alaves at the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday, where the team aims to close the gap on league leaders Barcelona.

So far this season, he has made six appearances in the Spanish top flight, contributing five goals while collaborating with summer signing Kylian Mbappe.
