Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been awarded the Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month for September, as voted by the supporters.
The Netherlands international was recognized for his outstanding performances during a month in which Liverpool secured victories in five of their six matches across all competitions.
Gravenberch played a pivotal role, starting in five games and showcasing his skills in the center of the pitch.
His contributions were instrumental in helping the Reds rise to the top of the Premier League while also achieving winning starts in both the Champions League and the Carabao Cup.
In the Player of the Month poll, Ryan Gravenberch finished ahead of teammates Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate, who placed second and third, respectively.
Gravenberch told Liverpoolfc.com at the AXA Training Centre on Thursday: “If you win the Player of the Month it’s really nice.
“It’s also my first one, so I’m a little bit proud as well.
“Obviously we have a really good team, really good players.
“Luis [Diaz] had four goals in September, so I think it’s hard to choose between me and him, but I want to thank the fans that they chose me.”
On his best performance, he added: “I think I had good actions against Bournemouth, but I will go for the game against Milan.
“I think that game was a really good team performance, but also individually it was really good.”
