Liverpool will play an additional pre-season friendly against Las Palmas, scheduled to take place behind closed doors at Anfield on Sunday, August 11, the club have confirmed.
This match will follow a ticketed fixture against Sevilla at Anfield earlier the same day, though the Las Palmas game will not be open to supporters.
Kick-off for the match against Las Palmas is set for 5 p.m. BST and will be broadcast live on LFCTV GO.
The two clubs have met only once before, with Liverpool visiting Estadio Insular for a testimonial match in May 1968, where Chris Lawler scored in a 1-1 draw.
These back-to-back friendlies on August 11 will serve as the final warm-ups for Arne Slot’s squad before they begin their Premier League campaign against Ipswich Town on August 17.
This decision comes as many players have yet to return to pre-season training.
Notable absentees include Allison, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez, and Luis Diaz.
Additionally, Andy Robertson (currently injured), Ibrahima Konate, and Ryan Gravenberch have not yet had the opportunity to play under the new coach.
As a result, Slot is expected to use one match to feature the players who are further along in their pre-season preparations.
Meanwhile, the behind-closed-doors game will likely be reserved for those returning this week to build their fitness.
