Manchester United transfer stance on Scott McTominay revealed
Scott McTominay is attracting interest from several clubs including Fulham
Manchester United are keen on depending £30 million for Scott McTominay, having already turned down three offers from Fulham, according to The Independent.
Despite ongoing negotiations, the London club have yet to meet United’s asking price, making it a frustrating summer for sales.
The new hierarchy at Old Trafford had anticipated more movement by now, especially as they approach the limits set by Profit and Sustainability Rules.
This comes after the recent signings of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Leny Yoro from Lille.
United are aiming to make around five more sales to pursue additional targets, particularly a midfielder.
However, the slow market and ongoing issues from previous recruitment policies – especially concerning wages – have complicated these efforts.
McTominay, one of the most sought-after players available, has seen significant interest, but Fulham’s offers have yet to meet United’s demands.
The desired package includes a £25 million base fee plus £5 million in add-ons.
Fulham’s three official bids have not reached an acceptable level, although negotiations are still in progress.
Other clubs have shown interest in players like Jadon Sancho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, and Victor Lindelof, but have been deterred by their wages.
The overall market has been slow, with limited movement from the Saudi Pro League and Premier League clubs nearing Profit and Sustainability Rule limits contributing to the stagnation.
Fulham are expected to make another attempt to sign McTominay, and there remains hope that a mutually beneficial agreement can be reached.
