There is no agreement in place between Manchester City and Luis Diaz over a potential transfer this summer, Binge Football understands.
El Chiringuito reported on Tuesday afternoon that the Colombia international has agreed to a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.
The report also indicates that Man City are prepared to pay Liverpool a fee of €70 million (£59.8 million) for the 27-year-old winger.
Luis Diaz has also garnered interest from Barcelona, who view him as an alternative to Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
In an interview conducted in April, Diaz did not suggest that he was considering leaving Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“The truth is that I am very happy to be here. Great years are coming for the club, I have no doubt about that,’ Diaz said.
“You learn more and more to be a professional, to be a better person, to be a good teammate and a good guy.
“Personally, I will always try to do my best, always try to give 100 per cent, to always stand out on the field, which is what I came [here] to do.
“I’m always grateful to God for every opportunity.”
Diaz joined Liverpool from FC Porto for an initial fee of £37 million in January 2022.
Since his transfer to the Premier League, the 27-year-old has scored 24 goals in 98 appearances and has contributed to Liverpool’s victories in the FA Cup and two Carabao Cup trophies.
As the new Premier League campaign approaches, Liverpool have yet to make any new signings to strengthen Arne Slot’s squad.
In contrast, Manchester City have already bolstered their squad with one new addition this summer.
Brazilian winger Savinho joined from French side Troyes in July for a fee of €40 million (£30.8 million).
