Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark has agreed to personal terms with Red Bull Salzburg and will travel to Austria in the coming days to sign a five-year contract.
The Reds accepted a £10 million bid for the 19-year-old earlier this week.
Clark made 12 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool last season and was notably one of the academy graduates who shone in the League Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley in February.
However, his three-year spell at Anfield is set to end as he nears a move to Salzburg.
Following the acceptance of the £10 million offer, negotiations between Clark and the Austrian club advanced over the weekend, and personal terms were agreed upon on Sunday.
Bobby Clark is expected to complete the formalities of the transfer and sign the long-term deal by Monday or Tuesday.
The decision to leave Liverpool was reportedly very difficult for the teenager.
However, the prospect of regular first-team football in the Austrian Bundesliga and potentially the Champions League was too enticing to decline.
The move will also see Clark reunite with Pep Lijnders, who was appointed as Red Bull Salzburg’s manager this summer after leaving Liverpool.
Liverpool have included both a buy-back clause and a sell-on clause in the transfer agreement.
Bobby Clark joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in August 2021 and penned his first professional contract with the club in February 2022.
An attacking player capable of operating anywhere across the forward line and in midfield, Clark began his Academy career with the U18s squad.
The son of former Newcastle midfielder Lee Clark, Bobby made an impact early on by netting on his U18s debut in a 3-3 draw away at Nottingham Forest.
He concluded the 2021-22 season with 13 goals across all competitions.
Clark made his first-team debut during Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Asia in July 2022.
He went on to make his Premier League debut as a substitute in the 9-0 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield the following month.
In December 2023, Clark further cemented his future with Liverpool by signing a new long-term contract with the club.
