Raheem Sterling’s primary focus is to address his contractual situation at Chelsea before considering any moves to other clubs before the transfer window closes, according to The Athletic.
Sterling, who has three years remaining on his contract worth over £300,000 per week, is not currently in Chelsea’s plans.
The 29-year-old is set to engage in further discussions with the club in the coming days, which could lead to him selecting a new team.
Several clubs have made inquiries about the potential terms of a transfer, but these have not yet developed into serious negotiations, with the emphasis still on resolving Sterling’s current contract.
Although Aston Villa were initially reported to be interested in Sterling, they have shown no firm interest and are not actively pursuing a deal.
Raheem Sterling has not appeared in any of Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixtures or their Conference League play-off first leg against Servette.
Last season, the forward was a regular under Mauricio Pochettino, but with the arrival of new head coach Enzo Maresca and the signing of Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Marc Guiu, his role at Stamford Bridge has become uncertain.
“I am not saying Raheem is not a good player, but I prefer different kinds of wingers,” Maresca said last week.
“We have a big squad and it’s impossible to give all of them minutes.
“If they are looking for minutes it’s better for them to leave.
“I try to be honest.”
Raheem Sterling joined Chelsea in the summer of 2022 in a £47.5 million move from Manchester City.
Since then, he has made 81 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals and providing 12 assists.
