Liverpool may be without Curtis Jones and new signing Federico Chiesa for Sunday’s clash with Manchester United.
After Saturday’s results, the Reds are the only team in the Premier League yet to concede a goal and will be aiming for a historic victory at Old Trafford.
Joao Pedro’s equalizer ended David Raya’s clean sheet streak for Arsenal, while Liverpool looks to join Manchester City in having a perfect start to the season.
Under Arne Slot’s management, Liverpool has begun the campaign impressively, securing six points from their opening two matches with consecutive 2-0 victories over Ipswich Town and Brentford.
Slot will face former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag as Liverpool makes the short trip to Old Trafford.
Manchester United is seeking a response after their dramatic 2-1 defeat away at Brighton.
The transfer window closed on Friday, and Liverpool made two signings; Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will join the Reds next summer.
Chiesa participated in his first training session on Friday following his move on Thursday, but Slot has indicated that the match against United may come too soon for him, barring any injury issues in the squad.
“He’s going to train with us today but it’s a bigger chance that he is not in the squad for Sunday than he is,” said Slot.
“If injuries might come up in the upcoming two days we might need him, but I don’t expect him to be in but I cannot guarantee this.”
Liverpool welcomed Jarell Quansah back to first-team training after he missed the build-up to their victory over the Bees.
Jones was a late exclusion from the squad, having faced a race to be fit for last weekend’s win following an injury.
However, the Reds’ head coach admitted that the England Under-21 international is the only injury concern at the moment.
“At the moment there are not any other injuries except for Curtis Jones,” Slot said.
“He will not train with us today [Friday]. But the rest will train with us today.”
