Arsenal will not be considering any offers for Italy midfielder Jorginho, according to talkSPORT.

Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are reportedly targeting the midfielder as the Turkish transfer window nears its closure on Friday, September 13.

While the Premier League transfer window closed on August 30, other leagues, including Turkey, are still working to finalize key signings before their respective deadlines.

Galatasaray, which had previously shown interest in other midfielders such as Casemiro and Scott McTominay over the summer, is now focusing on Jorginho.

However, Arsenal are not open to parting with the 32-year-old.

Jorginho has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s plans and is expected to continue playing a significant role throughout the season.

Moreover, Jorginho recently signed a short-term contract extension with Arsenal in May 2024, having initially joined the club in 2023.

Despite initial skepticism from fans regarding his arrival in North London, Jorginho has since become a key figure for the club.

He has made 52 appearances across all competitions and has won over many Arsenal supporters.

After the extension was signed, Arteta praised Jorginho’s contributions and highlighted what he values most about the former Chelsea star.

“We’re delighted that Jorgi has signed a new contract with us,” he explained.

“Jorgi is such an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique playing style ability which makes everybody better around him on the pitch.”

After putting pen to paper on a new deal, Jorginho said:  “There was not much to discuss to be honest.

“Because I feel really good here.

“Just to know that they appreciate me and want me to stay longer as well, it’s a big thing for me. I feel that I have more to do, so that’s the reason why I’m staying.

“That means a lot.

“And that’s one more reason for signing the contract because I feel I can – and I want to – give more to them, because they’ve been giving a lot of affection and support to me. All I want is to give it back.

“I try to give everything I can of myself to everyone around.

“Sometimes that can be a cuddle, sometimes it can be words, sometimes show them something.

“I just try to help as much as I can in any situation.

“I feel that everyone here can count on me.

“I will always be there for them.”
