Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has returned to full training ahead of the club’s Premier League match against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday, according to The Athletic.
The 23-year-old had missed the two games leading up to September’s international break due to a minor muscle injury.
However, he has now completed his recovery and is back with the squad.
New signing Federico Chiesa also joined in the session at the Kirkby training ground on Tuesday, as he continues his preparation for a potential Liverpool debut.
Chiesa used the international break to focus on building his fitness, having opted to remain on Merseyside rather than joining up with the Italy squad.
He and Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti agreed that staying at Liverpool would be the best course of action.
The 26-year-old has been out of action since Italy’s round of 16 defeat to Switzerland at the European Championship in late June.
Chiesa’s situation was further complicated when Juventus head coach Thiago Motta froze him out of the squad after his return to pre-season training in July.
Liverpool secured Chiesa’s services for an initial fee of £10 million.
Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez were back in training on Monday.
Nunez, who is serving a five-match international ban, and Gomez, who was left out of the England squad, were involved in Tuesday’s session.
They were joined by several promising youngsters, including Rio Ngumoha, who recently completed a move from Chelsea’s academy.
The England youth international could make his debut for Liverpool’s Under-18s against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, following Premier League approval of his transfer.
Liverpool’s South American players, including Alisson, Luis Diaz, and Alexis Mac Allister, are expected to be the last to return from international duty.
Head coach Arne Slot hopes to have a full squad available by Thursday as preparations for the Forest clash continue.
