Cristiano Ronaldo makes Manchester United admission
Cristiano Ronaldo recently netted his 900th career goal in a Nations League match for Portugal against Croatia
Cristiano Ronaldo has emphasized that he “still loves” Manchester United, despite the contentious end to his second stint at the club.
In November 2022, Ronaldo attracted significant attention when he participated in a controversial interview with media personality Piers Morgan.
During the interview, he criticized Erik ten Hag and took aim at Ralf Rangnick.
Shortly after, Ronaldo departed from Manchester United.
However, in a new interview with Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo reiterated his affection for the club.
A brief preview of the interview on ‘Rio Ferdinand Presents’ revealed Ronaldo’s enduring respect for Manchester United.
The Portugal skipper said: “We cannot control some points in our life sometimes, but it’s done…
“I repeat, I still love Manchester United and I wish them the best.”
Ronaldo’s departure left Manchester United without a dedicated striker, forcing them to bring in Wout Weghorst on loan.
Unfortunately, the Dutchman struggled to fill Ronaldo’s shoes effectively.
Despite ongoing issues at Old Trafford, the club seems to be in a better position now than when Ronaldo left, with Erik ten Hag’s mixed tenure including FA Cup and League Cup victories.
Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring his 900th career goal in a Nations League match for Portugal against Croatia.
This impressive feat underscores his enduring prowess, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
Ronaldo will return to league action with a match against Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
