Liverpool have officially announced their 22-man squad for the Premier League season, revealing four notable absentees from the main list.
Under new head coach Arne Slot, the Reds have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign.
Liverpool sit alongside Manchester City as the only teams with a perfect record from their first three matches.
With the transfer window now closed, Premier League clubs are required to finalize their squads.
Each team can register up to 25 players, with a maximum of 17 players who do not meet the league’s “home-grown” criteria.
Additionally, under-21 players – those born on or after January 1, 2003 – can be included in an unlimited secondary list.
Liverpool’s main squad includes 22 players, featuring new signing Federico Chiesa, academy graduate Tom Hill, and backup goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros.
However, first-team regulars Harvey Elliott, Conor Bradley, and Jarell Quansah have not been named in the main squad.
Instead, they are listed on the under-21 roster, joining 17-year-old midfielder Trey Nyoni.
The Premier League defines a “home-grown player” as one who, regardless of nationality, has been registered with an English or Welsh club for at least three full seasons or 36 months before turning 21 or by the end of the season in which they turn 21.
