Liverpool will aim to extend their impressive Premier League record this season when they travel to bottom-placed Wolves on Saturday evening.

Arne Slot will face some tough decisions as he names his starting lineup for the clash against Gary O’Neil’s side.

The Reds are likely to welcome back Alisson Becker, who has recovered from a hamstring issue after Caoimhin Kelleher filled in during the Brazilian’s absence for the last two matches.

Currently, Harvey Elliott is the only senior player sidelined with injury.

After a strong 3-0 victory over Bournemouth last weekend, Liverpool seek to maintain their momentum as they keep pace with Manchester City, the reigning champions who have started the season strongly.

The team will also carry confidence from an emphatic 5-1 win over West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.

Federico Chiesa made his first start and contributed an assist, playing 60 minutes in just his second appearance at Anfield.

With no new injury concerns, and Harvey Elliott on the mend from a foot injury, the return of Alisson will be a significant boost for the Reds as they prepare for this challenging trip to the West Midlands.

“We think he is [ready to play],” said the head coach on Friday.

“He trained yesterday a part of our session with the group, so we’re expecting him to do the whole session today.

“So, we think he is available but of course we have to train today.

“And of course we’re really happy with Alisson being back but I want to emphasise the fact that Caoimhin [Kelleher] did really well in the two games he was in goal for us, so another example of me having two, and I think even three, good options in certain positions.”
