Darwin Nunez and Andy Robertson have provided Liverpool with a significant injury boost after both participated in open training on Tuesday.
The duo had been considered potential doubts for the Reds’ Champions League match against Bologna.
However, the session saw the absence of Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa.
Nunez missed Liverpool’s recent 2-1 victory over Wolves due to illness, while Robertson limped off late in the match with a knock.
Despite these concerns, Reds head coach Arne Slot downplayed fears regarding Robertson’s fitness after the final whistle.
“I don’t expect it to be a big problem although you never know,” Slot said.
“I think he just got a knock in the end stage of the game, maybe he was a bit tired as well.
“The guy who came in, Forbs, I knew him from Dutch competition, he made it a real fight for him as well.
“He got a bit of a knock but I’m expecting him to be in training Monday again, but let’s wait.”
Slot’s initial assessment has been validated, as Robertson participated fully in training at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday morning.
Nunez also returned to training after recovering from an illness.
With their involvement, Harvey Elliott remains the only absentee for Liverpool.
The England Under-21 international will be sidelined until after the October international break due to a fractured foot sustained last month.
Liverpool kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 victory against AC Milan last month, with goals from Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
During the trip to the San Siro, Slot gave Kostas Tsimikas and Cody Gakpo their first starts of the season, leading to Robertson and Luis Diaz being relegated to the bench.
It remains to be seen if Slot will make further changes for the upcoming match against Bologna at Anfield on Wednesday night, especially with Darwin Nunez back in training, which enhances his options.
The Dutchman is expected to provide an update on his squad during a press conference scheduled for 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
