Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Enzo Maresca have been named Premier League Player and Manager of the Month for September.
On Tuesday, Palmer was named the England Men’s Player of the Year, having been one of eight players nominated for this Premier League honour after a series of impressive performances last month.
The 22-year-old emerged as the top scorer in the Premier League for September, netting five goals and providing an assist.
Palmer began the month by assisting Nicolas Jackson’s opener in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
He then got on the scoresheet himself, contributing to a commanding 3-0 victory at West Ham United.
However, his standout performance came at the end of the month, when he delivered a stunning display to help Chelsea secure a 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.
In that match, Cole Palmer scored all four goals, showcasing his talent with a trademark ice-cold penalty, a stunning free-kick, and a clever first-time finish.
His hat-trick was completed in just 10 minutes, with all four goals coming in the first half – making him the only player in Premier League history to score four times before halftime in a single match.

This marks Palmer’s second Player of the Month award with Chelsea, having previously received the accolade in April.
He also adds this recognition to the Premier League Goal of the Month trophy he earned in August for his remarkable lob against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In addition to Palmer’s achievements, Enzo Maresca was voted the Premier League’s standout head coach for September, having led Chelsea through an undefeated month in the top flight.
The Blues dropped just two points last month, starting with the draw against Crystal Palace.
Following that, they won three consecutive matches, taking maximum points from their remaining games.
This run began with an impressive away victory at Bournemouth, followed by a 3-0 demolition of West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The month concluded with an exhilarating six-goal thriller against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Chelsea finished September with 10 points from a possible 12, scoring nine goals in four matches, which ultimately led to Maresca being recognized as the Premier League’s best manager for the month.
