Manchester United are exploring the possibility of parting ways with Antony during the January transfer window, whether through a loan deal or a permanent transfer.

The Brazilian winger has faced significant criticism for his lackluster performances in a United shirt, and despite receiving ample opportunities from manager Erik ten Hag, he has consistently failed to meet expectations.

Signed for a hefty £86 million (€103.2million) from Ajax in the summer of 2022, Antony’s contributions have not justified the investment.

As a result, the club is reportedly open to offers in the region of £40million (€48million) as they look to cut their losses, according to the Daily Mail.

Additionally, the report suggests that United may consider loaning out Antony in hopes of increasing his market value ahead of the summer 2025 transfer window.

To date, he has made 86 appearances for the club, scoring just 12 goals and providing five assists.

This season, he has featured in only four matches, with just one start in the Premier League.

Antony will be eager to play when United resume Premier League action on Saturday at home against Brentford.

If the club is indeed looking to move him on, he is quickly running out of time to prove himself and secure his future at Old Trafford.
