Kyle Walker has reportedly been left ‘stunned’ after his wife, Annie Kilner, filed for divorce following his affair with Lauryn Goodman.
The relationship between Kilner and Walker has made headlines this year due to the Manchester City star’s infidelity.
Walker has two children with Goodman, and the couple was involved in a legal dispute that was finally resolved over the summer.
While the England defender had been working to address his marital issues with Kilner in an effort to save their marriage, he has now been shaken by his wife’s decision to file for divorce, according to The Sun.
A source told the tabloid: “Kyle was stunned when he got the papers.
“He’s spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps.
“This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce.
“This is as much Annie flexing her muscles as it is anything else.
“She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about.
“But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire.”
The relationship between Annie Kilner and Kyle Walker has reportedly taken a turn for the worse, with sources claiming the couple are “no longer on speaking terms.”
According to The Sun, Kilner is seeking half of Walker’s £27 million fortune should they split, aiming to secure a stable future for herself and their children.
Walker, who previously expressed fears of losing his marriage after the Goodman scandal, has admitted to making “idiotic choices” and betraying his “soulmate.”
The Manchester City star now faces an uphill battle to repair their relationship, which many believe may be damaged beyond repair.
