Pep Guardiola expressed frustration and declined to provide details regarding links to the England job after being repeatedly questioned about whether the FA had approached him.
The Spaniard has been among several candidates speculated to take over since Gareth Southgate announced his decision to step down in July.
This speculation intensified last week after reports surfaced that the FA had indeed contacted Guardiola.
Currently in the final year of his contract at the Etihad, the future of Guardiola remains uncertain as fans wonder if he will sign an extension with Manchester City or seek new opportunities next summer.
However, Guardiola will not be managing the England team, as Thomas Tuchel was officially announced as the new head coach on Wednesday.
The FA confirmed that the German had signed an 18-month contract the previous week.
When asked about the speculation linking him to the England role, Pep Guardiola said: “Thomas Tuchel is the manager, so congratulations for the FA and Thomas for the big job.
“I wish England, just for the fact I am nine years here, the very best for them.”
He added: “Thomas Tuchel is the manager, so forget about it. I’m the manager of Manchester City, so the conversations I have are about Manchester City.
“This is what it is. Tuchel is the manager already, Thomas is that.
“This is the most important, the rest is not important.”
Pep Guardiola recently appeared on an Italian chat show, where he confirmed that he has yet to make a decision about his future.
The speculation surrounding him intensified after his long-time ally, Txiki Begiristain, announced he would leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
When pressed about his own future at the Etihad, Guardiola reiterated that he has not yet come to a conclusion.
He said: “When I take it [a decision], I will inform you, for sure, 100 per cent.
“That’s why there is no news, and that’s why I don’t have to add absolutely anything else.”
