Mohamed Kudus twice attempted to get West Ham back in the game with two quick succession chances, but his efforts were thwarted away by Vicario to keep the healthy scoreline for Spurs. The Ghana forward soon got himself into trouble. He was sent off for taking out three Spurs players in frustration. He appeared to twice kick Micky Van de Ven, before pushing his hands into the defender’s face after a melee. He was also seen brushing the faces of Richarliso and Pape Matar Sarr in an incident that was missed by referee Andy Madley. The initial yellow card for the foul on Van de Ven was upgraded to red for West Ham’s no.14 after referee Madley was asked by the VAR to have a look at the incident for himself.
