Conor Bradley was not included among Liverpool’s substitutes for their match against Chelsea on Sunday due to injury.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 21-year-old was not fit enough to make the bench following the international break.
Bradley recently captained Northern Ireland, playing 90 minutes in their Nations League matches against Belarus and Bulgaria.
Despite his leadership role with the national team, Liverpool manager Arne Slot opted not to include Bradley in the squad for Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Blues at Anfield.
Speaking after the game, Slot said: “I have a lot of confidence in this team, but you also saw today – after the international break – that we have some problems.
“Conor Bradley is not in; Trent you probably don’t know, was also not training in the first days after he came back, so he was a bit of a doubt before we started the game [and] then we had Macca being sick.”
According to Liverpool Echo, “Conor Bradley is sidelined with an injury problem of his own and is expected to miss a few weeks of action, while Harvey Elliott is still working his way back to full fitness following a broken foot sustained in September.
Bradley missed the open training session at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday.
The Reds will fly out to Germany immediately after the session, with the match set to take place on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are expected to be without Diogo Jota for their upcoming Champions League match in Germany.
Jota, who also missed the training session was forced off after a collision with Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo during Liverpool’s victory over the London club.
Another forward, Federico Chiesa, remains unavailable, having already missed wins over Bologna and Crystal Palace before the international break, as well as the Chelsea match.
There was no sign of Chiesa in today’s training session.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker also remains a long-term absentee due to a hamstring injury.
Manager Arne Slot had earlier expressed concerns about Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister following the Chelsea match, but both players took part in today’s training session.
