Anthony Gordon is considering his future at Newcastle United and could explore a move this summer, according to The Telegraph.

The winger has not formally asked to leave, but there is an expectation at St James’ Park that he may seek a transfer, with interest emerging from clubs in England and across Europe.

Newcastle are braced for early bids as Gordon aims to resolve his future ahead of the World Cup.

Bayern Munich are among the clubs linked, though Newcastle have dismissed reports suggesting they would accept £55–60m. The England international is valued at over £80m.

Arsenal remain admirers, while Liverpool could revive their interest after previously coming close to signing Anthony Gordon in 2024.

Liverpool’s need for a forward – amid concerns over Hugo Ekitike’s injury – could increase Gordon’s appeal, given his versatility across the front line. A boyhood Liverpool fan, he has long been open to a move to Anfield.

Gordon’s form has been inconsistent this season. While he impressed in the Champions League, scoring 10 goals and earning multiple man-of-the-match awards, his Premier League output has dipped, with just three open-play goals since January 2025.

There have been no disciplinary concerns, but the 25-year-old is believed to want a new challenge, along with improved terms at a club competing regularly in the Champions League.

Under contract until 2030, Newcastle will only consider offers that meet their valuation. A potential sale could ease financial pressure and reduce the need to offload other key players such as Sandro Tonali.

Elsewhere, Tino Livramento may be sold if a suitable offer arrives, while Kieran Trippier is set to leave at the end of his deal and Joe Willock is available for transfer. Newcastle are also planning attacking reinforcements as part of a wider squad rebuild.
