Arne Slot expects Liverpool to be without Florian Wirtz for both matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers this week.
The No.7 missed recent wins over Nottingham Forest F.C. and West Ham United with a back issue and is unlikely to feature in Tuesday’s Premier League clash or Friday’s FA Cup tie at Molineux.
“Not anything different than what I said after the game [on Saturday],” the head coach said when asked about Wirtz at his pre-match press conference on Monday morning.
“The game tomorrow will probably come too soon and maybe the game at the weekend as well. Let’s see how that ends up.
“But we hope to have him back somewhere next week. Maybe earlier. Maybe a bit later. But that timescale.”
