Wataru Endo will be sidelined for “quite a long time” with a foot injury, Arne Slot has confirmed.
The Liverpool midfielder was stretchered off during Wednesday’s win at Sunderland after injuring his foot while clearing a cross aimed at Nilson Angulo.
Endo initially tried to continue but was eventually forced off in the second half.
Speaking about Endo’s condition during a press conference on Friday morning, Slot said: “A foot injury.
“We still need to do some assessments but it’s clear and obvious that he will be out for quite a long time.”
