Erik Farkas has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC.

The 17-year-old midfielder put pen to paper at the AXA Training Centre after progressing through the Reds’ Academy since U12 level. He is currently part of Simon Wiles’ U18s side.

Farkas has made three appearances this season, including a substitute appearance in the UEFA Youth League draw against Atletico Madrid last week, and has scored twice.

Born in Hungary, Farkas represents England internationally and has been capped at U17 level.

His brother Patrik recently signed a professional contract with the Reds, too.

“It’s a really proud moment for me and my family,” he told Liverpoolfc.com. “I’m just grateful and blessed to achieve something big like that.”
