Juventus are weighing up a potential loan move for Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa as they look to strengthen their squad in January.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chiesa is among several targets being considered by the Serie A side following their upturn in form under new head coach Luciano Spalletti, who replaced Igor Tudor in October.
However, Liverpool are yet to receive any official approach.
A return to Italy could offer Chiesa increased game time as he looks to boost his chances of earning a place in Italy boss Gennaro Gattuso’s squad, with the Azzurri still hoping to qualify for next summer’s World Cup via the March play-offs.
The 28-year-old has previously spoken openly about his ambition to feature at the tournament and has missed recent international call-ups due to a lack of match fitness.
Since joining Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024, Chiesa has registered two goals and three assists in 18 appearances under Arne Slot, though most have come from the bench.
He has started just two Premier League matches, including Saturday’s win over Wolves, and has logged 453 minutes in all competitions.
Despite limited starts, Chiesa remains a key squad option for Liverpool, especially with Mohamed Salah away at the Africa Cup of Nations and Alexander Isak sidelined through injury, as attention turns to the FA Cup and the return of the Champions League.
