Liverpool and adidas have unveiled the club’s new home kit for the 2026-27 season, inspired by the iconic strip worn during the 1989-90 title-winning campaign.
Blending past and present, the design pays tribute to one of the club’s most celebrated eras, reimagining the classic adidas look for a new generation.
The kit is now available via the club’s online store, LFC Store app and official retail outlets worldwide, with prices unchanged from last season.
The original 1989-91 strip is widely regarded as one of Liverpool’s most iconic kits, worn as the club secured a record 18th league title — the most by any English side at the time.
The new shirt draws on that design, featuring a deep red base with a modern geometric pattern inspired by the late-1980s original. White detailing on the crest, adidas logo and trims reinforces the classic aesthetic, while a refreshed print adds a contemporary edge.
A new name and number style has also been introduced, aligning with the club’s updated typeface inspired by the wings and talons of the Liver bird.
The full kit includes deep red shorts and socks for a clean, unified look.
Adidas have also launched a goalkeeper kit in a distinctive green colourway inspired by the same era, alongside a new training and lifestyle range featuring pre-match and training wear, outerwear, and accessories.
