Trent Alexander-Arnold has escaped any serious injury following his early exit in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, according to Daily Mail.
The right-back remains a doubt for Thursday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham, with Liverpool trailing 1-0 from the first leg in north London.
However, it is unlikely that the 26-year-old will be sidelined for an extended period.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced off in the second half after appearing to hold his thigh and requesting a substitution.
Initial scans have shown no significant damage, and the injury is expected to keep him out for a matter of days rather than weeks.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot will now have to decide whether to risk his vice-captain for the Carabao Cup clash, with recent history indicating that Klopp is cautious about rushing players back before they are fully fit.
Conor Bradley, who impressed in Alexander-Arnold’s absence at the Vitality Stadium, is a capable deputy.
Should Alexander-Arnold be left out against Spurs, the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Plymouth on Sunday may also see him rested, along with other first-team regulars such as Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
The trio are likely to be preserved for Liverpool’s crucial Merseyside Derby against Everton at Goodison Park the following Wednesday, which could mark Alexander-Arnold’s potential return to action.
After the Bournemouth victory, Liverpool’s players enjoyed a belated Christmas celebration at the Pirana restaurant in Mayfair.
The squad had Sunday and Monday off from training to rest and recover.
