Liverpool are considering a double swoop for AS Monaco duo Maghnes Akliouche and Lamine Camara, according to L’Equipe.
The Reds are assessing options to replace Mohamed Salah and have identified Akliouche as a key target, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested.
The versatile attacker has seven goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances this season and is valued at around €50m, a fee Liverpool are willing to meet. Akliouche is seen as a more affordable alternative to RB Leipzig target Yan Diomande and PSG’s Bradley Barcola.
Liverpool are also tracking Lamine Camara as they look to strengthen midfield, amid uncertainty over the futures of Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister.
The Senegal international offers creativity and defensive solidity, contributing one goal and four assists this term while ranking among Ligue 1’s top players for interceptions.
Signed from FC Metz for €15m in 2024, Monaco could demand around double that fee. Newcastle United are also interested, though Champions League football could give Liverpool the edge.
Camara would add energy and physicality to the midfield at Liverpool FC. The Reds are keen to boost their athletic level while targeting players with room to develop, and both Camara and Maghnes Akliouche fit that profile.
In today’s market, £70million is a typical fee for a single top prospect. Securing two high-upside talents from AS Monaco for around that amount would represent an excellent start to the summer window.
