Liverpool goalkeeper Armin Pecsi has joined Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.

The 21-year-old, who made his senior Hungary debut last month, will spend the 2026-27 campaign with Hartberg after joining Liverpool from Puskas Akademia a year ago.

Pecsi was a regular for the Reds’ Under-21 side last season and was included in the first-team matchday squad on five occasions during the 2025-26 campaign.

Hartberg will begin their league season away at Red Bull Salzburg on Saturday, August 1.

Armin Pecsi said: “I’m very happy to be at TSV Hartberg now. The club has a clear strategy of developing young players while also being successful – that’s exactly what convinced me from the start.

“I felt the club’s trust right from the first talks and I’m glad to be here now. I’m looking forward to getting started, working hard every day and doing my part to help us achieve our shared goals.”

Head coach and technical director Markus Schopp said: “I think it’s fantastic that one of the biggest clubs in Europe has entrusted us with one of the greatest goalkeeping talents again this season.

“That speaks volumes for TSV Hartberg, because they’ve always done excellent work in this position in recent years. With Ármin, we’re getting my desired goalkeeper, who perfectly matches our profile and, together with Luka Maric, will be the right and appropriate backup this season.”

Chairman and Managing Director Erich Korher added : “We are overjoyed that the loan of Ármin has been finalized. My thanks go to Liverpool FC for their trust and excellent cooperation. It confirms that we have developed into a recognized training club.

“We are convinced that this loan represents a win-win situation for all involved. With Ármin, we have signed a goalkeeper with great potential and are excellently positioned in this position for the upcoming season.”
