Man United forward Rasmus Hojlund reacts after ending 21-game goal drought against Leicester

Rasmus Hojlund took to social media to express his joy after ending a 21-game goal drought with a strike against Leicester City.

The Danish forward opened the scoring in the 28th minute, before Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes each found the back of the net, helping Manchester United secure a 3-0 win at King Power Stadium on Sunday.

It was Hojlund’s third goal of the 2024/25 Premier League season, with his last goal coming against Nottingham Forest on December 7.

Following his breakthrough moment, the 22-year-old shared an honest reaction on Instagram.

He posted a photo of his goal celebration, captioning it with: “Yeah okay, might say I enjoyed that one.”

After the game, Ruben Amorim said: “It’s really important for Rasmus. He’s doing the right things, helping the team, fighting for every ball. He scored a very good goal and I think he deserved it more than anybody.

“It was a difficult goal with difficult control with his right foot. It’s a shame we stop for the national teams because we have confidence.

“It was clear today my players are at the limit. We are going to use this window to rest and recover. It will be good. When we return, it will be like starting from scratch.”

With the goal drought behind him, Rasmus Hojlund will now look to carry his momentum into the international break.

Denmark will face Portugal in a two-legged Nations League quarter-final, and despite his struggles at club level, the striker has been named in Brian Riemer’s squad for the upcoming fixtures.
