Manchester City defender Kyle Walker joins AC Milan on loan

Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan from Manchester City until the end of the 2024/25 season, subject to international clearance.

The 34-year-old arrived at Man City from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017.

Over seven and a half seasons at the Etihad Stadium, the England defender has made 319 appearances, scored six goals, and played a pivotal role in helping City secure 17 major honors.

Walker’s time at Manchester City has been marked by immense success, including six Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, a UEFA Champions League title, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

The experienced right-back captained City during their historic 2023/24 season, leading the team to a record fourth consecutive Premier League crown and triumphs in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

On the international stage, Walker has earned 93 caps for England, representing the Three Lions at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

He also played a crucial role in England’s campaigns at EURO 2020 and EURO 2024, serving as vice-captain in both tournaments.

Walker now embarks on a new chapter in his career with AC Milan, bringing a wealth of experience and a winning pedigree to the Serie A giants.

“I’m delighted and proud to sign for AC Milan!” Kyle Walker posted on X.

“A club with such rich history, one I’ve followed since I was a kid.

“It’s an honour to join and I can’t wait to pull on the Rossoneri shirt and get started. I’m very much looking forward to this new chapter in my career and to beginning this journey with my family in Italy.

“Thank you to Mark Rankine, the journey continues.

“Finally a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, both on and off the pitch.

“See you soon! Forza Milan.”
