Florian Wirtz returns to the Liverpool starting lineup as Mohamed Salah drops to the bench for the trip to West Ham United.
Alisson Becker also comes back into goal after recovering from illness.
Wirtz had missed Liverpool’s last two games due to an injury detected during the recent international break with Germany, but the attacking midfielder is fit again and joins a four-man midfield selected by Arne Slot.
Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch also start.
Joe Gomez makes his first Premier League start in 11 months, his last coming in Liverpool’s 5-0 win at this stadium just after Christmas, and begins at right-back, with Curtis Jones dropping out of the XI.
Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez complete the back four.
Alexander Isak leads the line, while Hugo Ekitike moves to the bench after suffering a back issue during the second half of Wednesday’s 4-1 defeat to PSV.
Cody Gakpo also starts in the capital.
Slot has several attacking options among his substitutes, with Salah joined by Ekitike, Federico Chiesa and Rio Ngumoha.
Jones and Wataru Endo also make the bench as Liverpool look to halt a run of nine defeats in their last 12 matches.
Alisson, who recently returned from a two-month hamstring layoff in the 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, missed the PSV match due to illness but is now fit to replace Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Arne Slot said prior to kick-off: “We have more players on the bench than only Mo but I can understand why you ask a question about him.
“We play four games in 10 days and I have many good players, so today I chose a different line-up.
‘Sometimes Alex (Alexander Isak) and Florian (Wirtz) has been on the bench, so it’s always about the players, which I understand, but it’s also about the players who start, and that’s the XI I chose today.”
Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Isak, Gakpo.
Subs: Mamardashvili, Mohamed Salah, Ekitike, Chiesa, Ngumoha, Endo, Jones, Nyoni, Robertson.
