Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak open to Liverpool move

Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak is open to a potential move to Liverpool, according to TEAMtalk. However, the Reds’ stance on a summer bid remains uncertain.

The Swedish international has been one of Europe’s most prolific centre-forwards this season, scoring 17 Premier League goals so far.

His performances have naturally drawn significant interest, prompting Newcastle to push for a new lucrative contract in an effort to fend off potential suitors.

Talks are expected to take place in the summer.

As previously reported, Arsenal are long-time admirers of Isak and have him high on their summer transfer wishlist.

However, their chances of securing his signature appear slim due to Newcastle’s £120 million+ valuation.

Liverpool have also been linked with the 25-year-old, with speculation intensifying after club legend Jamie Carragher publicly urged the Reds to make a move for him.

Alexander Isak is very interested in joining Liverpool, as he is keen on playing regular Champions League football and competing for major trophies.

Newcastle are well aware of his ambitions, which is why securing top-four qualification remains a key priority for the Magpies.

Despite Isak’s interest, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will sanction such a significant investment.

The club have a structured approach to recruitment and only submits big-money bids if they are fully convinced the player will enhance their starting XI.

With uncertainty surrounding Darwin Nunez, Liverpool are expected to target a new striker this summer.

Isak is on their shortlist, but club sources have yet to confirm any concrete steps toward a formal bid.

A move would likely depend on Newcastle’s willingness to sell – especially if Isak refuses a new contract.

If Newcastle secure Champions League football, Isak is expected to stay.

His contract at St James’ Park runs until 2028, giving Newcastle a strong negotiating position despite growing interest in their star forward.
