Bradley Barcola will undergo his Liverpool medical this weekend as he closes in on a £123m move from Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The France international is set to sign a five-year contract, with Liverpool paying an initial £106m plus £17m in add-ons. The deal would make him the club’s second-most expensive signing after Alexander Isak.
Liverpool made Barcola their primary target earlier this summer and held talks with PSG for more than a month before reaching an agreement in principle on Thursday.
The 23-year-old has now been given permission to undergo his medical ahead of his move to Anfield. He could make his Liverpool debut against Ipswich Town on September 4.
Barcola primarily operates on the left wing and has been identified as a key addition by new head coach Andoni Iraola following Mohamed Salah’s departure. Liverpool are still expected to pursue another winger before Tuesday’s 11pm transfer deadline.
The Reds have also had two bids rejected for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh and have checked on Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr.
Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo’s future remains uncertain, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City interested in the Netherlands international.
Barcola had made it clear he did not intend to sign a new contract at PSG after falling behind Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue in the pecking order.
He is expected to request the No.29 shirt at Liverpool.
Barcola was a regular for Luis Enrique’s side last season, making 49 appearances and contributing 13 goals and seven assists as PSG retained their Ligue 1 and Champions League titles.
He made his first-team breakthrough during the 2021-22 campaign and has since recorded 39 goals and 37 assists in 152 appearances.
However, he was left out of PSG’s 2026-27 league opener against Rennes on Sunday and Friday night’s 2-2 draw at Lille.
The Lyon academy product also played a key role for France at this summer’s World Cup, featuring in all eight matches and scoring three goals.
