Liverpool are continuing talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Bradley Barcola, with reports suggesting the Reds could make a new bid for the winger this week.

Barcola was left out of PSG’s squad for Sunday’s Trophée des Champions defeat to Lens, alongside fellow winger Ibrahim Mbaye. Both players are expected to leave the French champions, with Liverpool interested in signing them.

Liverpool’s interest in Bradley Barcola is considered the more advanced, with Fabrizio Romano, RMC Sport and L’Equipe all reporting that a new offer could be forthcoming. The Reds previously submitted a bid worth around €115m (£98.5m).

PSG could now be willing to negotiate below their previous €150m (£128.3m) valuation after signing Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts this summer.

Barcola is expected to remain out of the PSG squad until his future is resolved, with reports suggesting the two clubs are increasingly confident of reaching an agreement.

Liverpool face Newcastle United in their Premier League opener on Sunday and currently have Cody Gakpo, Victor Munoz and Rio Ngumoha as their senior wide options.

Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott are also available, although neither is expected to play a major role out wide.

With Mohamed Salah having left the club, Liverpool are keen to strengthen their attack before the transfer window closes, with Barcola emerging as their priority target.
