Victor Munoz is eager to build on being in a “good moment” for Liverpool and Spain.
A landmark 2026 for the forward has included his summer transfer to Liverpool from Osasuna, before being part of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad.
Since the start of the club season, Munoz has made six appearances under Andoni Iraola, including three starts.
The No. 23 has already scored his first goal for the Reds, netting a thumping equaliser against Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
Currently on international duty with Spain, Munoz spoke to the media at a press conference on Thursday.
Discussing his experiences in recent months, Victor Munoz said: “I think the fact that all this has happened so quickly does not give me time to process it – [but] I think it’s good, for both me and my family.
“You try to enjoy every moment and every stage, and the truth is that now I am in a good moment, both in Liverpool and here in the national team.
“I am focused on the next game with the national team.”
The 23-year-old was also asked about his adaptation to the Premier League and how it compares to his prior time in Spain’s top flight.
“I really like to follow La Liga and I notice a lot of differences compared to the Premier League,” said Munoz.
“La Liga is much more tactical, the Premier League games are much more physical.
“It is true that I notice more differences compared with previous years; the intensity of the training sessions, all the physical work, which is very big and is helping me to grow.”
Spain have beaten England 3-2 and Croatia 4-1 during the current UEFA Nations League window. They face Czechia on Saturday before meeting Croatia again three days later.
Munoz also discussed his approach to breaking into the starting XI of the world champions.
“I try to work every day, to contribute my bit, to try to improve my things,” he said.
“With that work and that consistency – which I think is what characterises me – I will always try to take a step forward and always with the aim to help the team.”
