Liverpool are expected to block Alisson Becker’s exit from the club this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Brazilian goalkeeper had been in advanced talks with Juventus over a three-year deal, with Liverpool initially considering potential replacements if he departed. However, the Reds have now decided they do not want him to leave.

Alisson is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, while Giorgi Mamardashvili has been viewed as his long-term successor after arriving from Valencia in 2024.

Mamardashvili made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, including 10 in the Premier League, keeping two clean sheets.

Alisson endured an injury-hit campaign, making 35 appearances across all competitions due to recurring hamstring problems. Before returning against Brentford on Sunday, he had missed Liverpool’s previous seven league games.

The 33-year-old joined Liverpool from Roma in 2018 and has since won eight trophies, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.

Liverpool are also preparing for several squad departures. Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are both expected to leave, while Ibrahima Konate has yet to agree a new contract.

Robertson is understood to have an agreement in principle with Tottenham Hotspur, although Juventus have also held talks over a move.
