Real Madrid reject £61m Liverpool offer for Eduardo Camavinga

The Premier League champions submitted a €70million bid in an attempt to secure a top-level signing

Real Madrid have once again underlined their position in the transfer market after receiving a fresh offer from Liverpool for Eduardo Camavinga.

The Premier League champions submitted a €70million (£61million) bid in an attempt to secure a top-level signing. However, Real Madrid’s stance remains non-negotiable, according to Fichajes.

The club believes the current market often inflates short-term deals, while its own focus is firmly on stability, continuity and long-term development. In that context, Camavinga perfectly represents the type of player the club refuses to sell.

Florentino Perez has a clear policy regarding young talents expected to lead the team over the next decade, and Real Madrid do not entertain offers for players considered part of the club’s strategic core.

Camavinga occupies a central role in that plan, and Liverpool’s €70million proposal has done nothing to change it. The prevailing view is that sanctioning such a deal would weaken the project and send the wrong message to the dressing room.

Real Madrid have no need to sell, either financially or sporting-wise, especially not a player who continues to improve season after season.

At 23, Eduardo Camavinga has established himself as one of the most complete midfielders in Europe. His versatility, physical presence, tactical intelligence and competitive maturity make him a unique asset.

He is capable of operating as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder, or even at full-back, further enhancing his value.

The club believes his sporting value far exceeds any reasonable market price. Internally, it is understood that any potential negotiations would only be considered at an astronomical figure, well beyond the €70million offered by Liverpool.

The Reds’ interest in Camavinga is not new, with the player having been monitored for some time as an ideal midfield addition.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid have secured both his long-term contract and his role within the squad, effectively shutting the door on any transfer attempt.

Despite persistent interest from England, Real Madrid’s position has not wavered. There are no negotiations and no room for reconsideration – Camavinga is not for sale.

The decision to reject Liverpool’s offer reflects a clear vision, Real Madrid are determined to build around their young leaders rather than sell them at their peak.

With this stance, Real Madrid send a clear message to the wider transfer market. Their key players are not for sale, and Eduardo Camavinga is one of the names expected to define an era at the club.
