Arne Slot has delivered a fitness update on Federico Chiesa, Wataru Endo, and Cody Gakpo ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The trio were all absent from Liverpool’s 1-0 Champions League victory over Inter Milan at the San Siro in midweek due to illness and injury.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s 3pm GMT kick-off at Anfield, the head coach was asked for the latest on their availability.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Slot said: “Federico is not ill anymore. He trained yesterday and he trained today again, so I assume he’s ready to be in the squad tomorrow again.”
Asked for a further update on Gakpo and Endo, he added: “It’s going to be weeks. With Cody it’s a muscle injury and Wata is an ankle injury.”
