According to The Guardian, Bournemouth are close to signing Liverpool forward Ben Doak for £25million.
The 19-year-old, who cost Liverpool just £600,000 from Celtic in 2022, could deliver a significant profit for the club.
Doak, a Scotland international, spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough but missed much of it due to a thigh injury requiring surgery.
His Liverpool breakthrough was hampered by Jürgen Klopp’s departure, injuries, and the form of Mohamed Salah.
He was an unused substitute in last weekend’s Community Shield.
Bournemouth, having signed French defender Bafode Diakité from Lille for £34.5m, are now focusing on strengthening their attack.
Luis Sinisterra is expected to move on loan to Cruzeiro as part of these changes.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich have opened talks with Chelsea over forward Christopher Nkunku, who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea aim to offload players before pursuing Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, while Bayern are seeking a loan with an option to buy for Nkunku.
The Bundesliga champions are rebuilding their attack following Thomas Müller’s departure, Kingsley Coman’s sale, and Jamal Musiala’s long-term injury.
