Jeremy Jacquet’s squad number at Liverpool has been confirmed, with the defender set to wear the No.5 shirt.

Previous Liverpool players to wear the No.5 shirt in the Premier League era include Georginio Wijnaldum, Daniel Agger and Milan Baros.

Jeremy Jacquet officially became a Liverpool player this summer after the Reds agreed a deal with Stade Rennais in February, allowing him to remain with the Ligue 1 club for the rest of the 2025/26 season.

The 21-year-old arrived at Anfield with 37 Ligue 1 appearances to his name across three seasons and is regarded as one of France’s brightest defensive prospects.

He made his France Under-21 debut against England in March 2025 and was named in the Team of the Tournament at the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship after helping France reach the final.

A product of Rennes’ academy since the age of 14, Jacquet made his senior debut against OGC Nice in early 2024 before gaining valuable first-team experience during a loan spell at Clermont Foot.

Jeremy Jacquet was recalled by Rennes in February 2025 and continued his impressive development before completing his move to Liverpool on a long-term contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
