According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Colombian talent Samuel Martinez in a move viewed as an investment for the future.
The Reds moved quickly amid interest from clubs including Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, with Martinez expected to officially join in 2027.
The attacking midfielder has also agreed personal terms with Liverpool, with the move set to be confirmed soon.
Samuel Martinez recently helped Colombia win the South American U17 Championship in Paraguay, registering assists in both the semi-final victory over Brazil and the final against Argentina.
Liverpool are expected to pay around €1million (£860,000) for the Atletico Nacional youngster, who will sign a five-year contract once he turns 18 next April.
Atletico Nacional are also likely to retain a percentage of any future sale.
Liverpool have focused heavily on recruiting elite young talent in recent years, with players such as Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni already gaining first-team exposure this season.
