Liverpool confirm coaching staff departures after Arne Slot exit

Hulshoff, who served as first assistant coach, and lead physical performance coach Peeters joined the Reds as part of Arne Slot’s backroom team following the Dutchman’s appointment in the summer of 2024.

Liverpool have confirmed the departures of Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst from the club’s coaching staff.

Hulshoff, who served as first assistant coach, and lead physical performance coach Peeters joined the Reds as part of Arne Slot’s backroom team following the Dutchman’s appointment in the summer of 2024.

Both played key roles in a memorable debut campaign that culminated in Liverpool winning the Premier League title in 2024-25. The club secured its 20th top-flight crown with four games remaining.

Former Netherlands international Van Bronckhorst also arrived at Anfield last summer, taking up a position as assistant coach within Slot’s coaching set-up.

The trio will now depart following the confirmation of Slot’s exit as head coach last month.

A club statement read: “Everybody at LFC thanks Sipke, Ruben and Gio for all their efforts and contributions to the club and wishes them the best for the future.”
