Liverpool have reportedly held preliminary talks over a January move for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.
Despite heavy summer spending, the Reds are facing an attacking shortage after Alexander Isak suffered a serious leg injury in the 2-1 win over Tottenham and is expected to be sidelined for several months following surgery.
Mohamed Salah is also unavailable due to the Africa Cup of Nations, while Cody Gakpo is injured.
According to Anfield Index, Liverpool have turned their attention to Karim Adeyemi, who could be available for around £20m.
The Reds have previously been linked with Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo but are reluctant to meet his £65m valuation, with the winger also said to prefer a move to Manchester City.
Adeyemi, 23, joined Dortmund from RB Leipzig in 2022 and has scored six goals with three assists in all competitions this season, taking his overall tally for the club to 32 goals.
Versatile across the frontline, he would offer cover in attack, though his injury record remains a concern.
Liverpool are also expected to explore centre-back options in January, with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi among the players under consideration.
