Chelsea are not surprised by the reported interest in Pedro Neto but will not allow the winger to leave on the cheap, according to the Daily Mail.
The Blues are not actively looking to sell the 26-year-old Portuguese forward, but club insiders are aware of the rising valuations of other wide players, particularly RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Both Diomande and Barcola are valued at over £100million by their clubs, giving Chelsea an indication of Neto’s potential worth. However, the Blues have not set an official asking price for the winger.
Manchester City, Liverpool and clubs in Saudi Arabia have all been linked with Neto, with Chelsea believing interest is natural due to the shortage of elite wingers in the market.
City boss Enzo Maresca is also a known admirer of Pedro Neto, having preferred him as his right winger during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Pedro Neto is currently absent from Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Australia after representing Portugal at the World Cup.
Chelsea’s other Portuguese winger, Geovany Quenda, will join the squad after the Australian leg due to a minor injury.
New striker Emmanuel Emegha will also return later after suffering a hamstring issue in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
