Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Brentford winger Kevin Schade, with the German international emerging as a potential addition to their attack.
According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring the 24-year-old, alongside Arsenal. Brentford are already working on a new contract for Schade amid growing interest in his services.
Liverpool strengthened their wide options during the summer by signing Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz.
However, they had initially planned to add another winger, particularly a left-footed player capable of operating on the right.
Schade’s pace and versatility could make him an attractive option for Liverpool. He has scored three league goals this season and can operate on either flank.
Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas wrote: “Brentford have held initial talks with Kevin Schade about a new long-term contract in the wake of his excellent start to the campaign and increasing interest from bigger clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool.”
Schade’s current Brentford contract runs until 2028, meaning Liverpool could face competition if they formalise their interest. The winger is reportedly valued at around €60million.
Kevin Schade has been monitored by several major Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, but Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to have shown the strongest interest as the summer transfer window closed.
The Germany international has entered the final two years of his Brentford contract, which he signed after joining from SC Freiburg for £20 illion in June 2023. The West London club are keen to offer him improved terms.
His three goals this term have taken his tally to 25 in 119 appearances, along with nine assists.
Schade has also broken into the Germany squad and started Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge against the Netherlands on Thursday.
