Marcus Rashford not in Manchester United squad again for Bournemouth clash

United are aiming to bounce back from their Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham earlier in the week

Marcus Rashford appears to have been left out of Manchester United’s squad for their Premier League match against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

United are aiming to bounce back from their Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham earlier in the week, but it seems they will have to do so without their star forward.

A video released by the club showed the first-team squad arriving at Old Trafford ahead of the match, but there was no sign of Marcus Rashford.

This follows his recent exclusion from the squad under manager Ruben Amorim.

The 27-year-old missed both the matches against Manchester City and Tottenham, and it looks like he will sit out again against Bournemouth.

Alejandro Garnacho, who was reintroduced to the squad against Tottenham, was seen arriving at Old Trafford, and Toby Collyer was also included after recovering from injury.

Amorim will have attacking options in Antony, Amad Diallo, Rasmus Højlund, and Joshua Zirkzee for the penultimate home match of the calendar year.

However, a few first-team players were notably absent from the video.

While Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton were seen by official club photographers, Victor Lindelöf, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw have all been ruled out due to injury. Matthijs de Ligt, who missed the Tottenham defeat due to illness, remains a doubt for the upcoming match.

Man United confirmed squad members vs Bournemouth: Onana, Heaton, Bayindir, Yoro, Martinez, Maguire, Mazraoui, Malacia, Dalot, Mainoo, Ugarte, Collyer, Casemiro, Fernandes, Eriksen, Antony, Garnahco, Amad, Hojlund, Zirkzee.
