Yan Diomande has admitted it would be a dream come true to play for Liverpool one day.

The 19-year-old winger joined RB Leipzig from La Liga side Leganés last summer after the German club activated his €20million release clause.

Diomande had impressed during his breakthrough campaign in Spain’s top flight, scoring two goals in 10 appearances, which earned him a move to the Bundesliga.

Since arriving in Germany, the teenager has gone from strength to strength and has emerged as one of Leipzig’s standout performers this season.

Capable of operating on either flank, Yan Diomande has registered seven goals and four assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.

His impressive form has already sparked speculation over a potential big-money move away from RB Leipzig, with several top clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Now, Diomande has revealed that Liverpool hold a special place in his heart, describing a move to Anfield as a “dream”.

Speaking during a TikTok live stream, the Ivory Coast international was asked to name his dream club and did not hesitate to declare his support for the Reds.

“Yes, I do,” he said. “I want to play at Anfield, I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a big fan of Liverpool.

“I’m a big fan of Liverpool because my father’s dream is to see me play at Anfield. So that’s my dream.

“You know, to fulfil my father’s dream is a dream for me too.”
